Welcome to The A-team Film (Movie) page, I am currently scouring all sources to bring you up to date information on this project...
The A-Team Film is in the very early pre-production stages, in fact there isn't even a confirmed cast yet and the director John Singleton has recently dropped out from the project. It is now due for release June 2010. The rumoured plot revolves around the team being Iraqi war veterans instead of Vietnam veterans in the hope to bring the story into the 21st Century.
Will it be good? We hope so!
Any comments, info, plots, Pics or Videos are also very welcome, please e-mail them to info@a-team247.co.uk and I will credit you personally on The A-Team 24/7.co.uk.
The A-Team Film News
Singleton Gone, New Release Date of 2010
Courtesy of MovieBlog.com - Oct 24th 2008
This is not a good sign. It appears that Fox is pushing the A-Team back a year, and Singleton has decided to jump off of the project.
Director John Singleton has departed the big screen adaptation of THE A-TEAM due to rewrites and date shifts.
The A-Team - originally June 12, 2009 is now June 11, 2010
Well, this isn't good news at all. Rewrites aren't always bad news, but when a director bails on a project and sites the re-writes as a reason…you usually have some garbage on your hands. And garbage isn' t what I want to see in an A-Team remake. The A-Team takes out the trash, they take it out!
This is certainly bad news if you are looking forward to this project. If you were dreading this then this was probably news you were praying for!

Tyrese Gibson confirms A-Team role - 22 August 2008
This article is courtesy of MovieBlog.com
"We have A-Team confirmation from Tyrese for you today thanks to the good people over at Latino Review:
Latino Review: There's rumors you're gonna do A-Team, is it true?
Tyrese: Yes sir. Soon as that script come back in and they tweak that thing out, we gonna go ahead and get movin'.
What I think is interesting is he doesn't say that he's playing B.A. Ice Cube has been rumored as the guy to fill those shoes for a while.
We knew for a while that Tyrese was on board the A-Team remake, and all news has suggested that he will be playing B.A. The guys at Latino Review go on to suggest that perhaps Tyrese will play Face instead of B.A. I don't personally see this happening, but if they are correct then grats to them for calling it out!
I want Tyrese to be B.A. because I am hoping to hell that Ice Cube doesn't get the role. Ice Cube has said that he wants the role, but no one that I know on this earth wants that to happen.
What we do know for sure is that Tyrese is on board, and the A-Team is moving forward. I am interested to see this film and really hope that it comes together well."
This is good news for the A-Team film and it is obviously moving forward! Role on Summer 2009!
New A-Team film to be shot in Dubai - 23 June 2008
Change the date, change the city and swap Vietnam for Iraq, and you pretty much have the synopsis for the new $100m A-Team film . Clearance has been approved for shooting to start in Dubai, likely to be before the end of the year.
With a reported June 2009 release date for the John Singleton-directed (2 Fast 2 Furious, Boyz n the Hood, Shaft) update, there is pressure on start filming.
Sources in Dubai had suggested shooting approval had been delayed by Dubai Studio City's Location Approval Services (LAS). This has been vigorously denied by Tim Smythe, founder and CEO of Filmworks , production facilitator on the project:
"Everything has been in place for a number of months. If there are delays it is due to cast, budget, logistics...whatever. But there has been absolutely no delay from Dubai, the LAS or the National Media Council."
To clear a script LAS need to sort approval from a range of government bodies, including The National Media Council, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Dubai Civil Aviation and Dubai Tourism and Commerce Marketing.
Reports say the A-Team script is being written by Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, whose previous credits include Wanted and 3:10 to Yuma.
Series creator Stephen J Cannell has been trying to get an A-Team feature off the ground for a number of years. He says the plan is to update the series to the modern day, with Smith's team now comprising veterans of the Iraq war. There would also be a more serious tone than the TV show, and - in a landmark move - characters who are shot at in the new version may actually expire.
"Not to denigrate the TV show, but nobody ever died ," Cannell said recently. "We drove cars off cliffs and people got out and walked away. We're not going to do that [in the movie]. In this the tone is more dangerous - you can really die. It's very tense and exciting."

Tyrese Gibson Set to Play B.A. Baracus? – 16 May 2008
Rumours have leaked that Tyrese Gibson (One of the Delta Force men in Transformers) has landed the role of B.A. Baracus.
Apparently on the set of his new film ‘Legion' he has hinted at future roles including playing B.A. Baracus in John Singleton's The A-Team. Tyrese is said to be excited at the opportunity even though it is not set in stone and him taking the role will depend on scheduling. He is definitely up for growing the Mohawk but has said that he's up for bringing B.A. into the 21 st Century .Hmmm, what does that mean? B.A. wearing Nivea for Men?
Tyrese is working out heavily in order to be ready for the role if it happens and has been quoted “the physique is a lot to live up to”
So it looks as though Ice Cube is out of the running! I liked the look of Ice Cube as a traditional B.A. but I can't help thinking that a slightly different incarnation could be good because let's face it. Can anyone live up to Mr T? And trying to copy it might be the death knell of the film.
Either way the casting of B.A. has to be done right!
Bruce Willis as Hannibal? – 13 May 2008
It seems the once favoured Mel Gibson for the role of the A-Team's cigar loving Col. John “Hannibal” Smith might actually fall to an actor who still makes films. Bruce Willis.
I can definitely see this one, Bruce has the cocky manner and being a proper action hero makes a world of difference in my book.
IMDB Posts A-Team Film Plot Synopsis – 23 Apr 2008
Internet Movie DataBase has posted this plot synopsis about the film
“A group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed.”
Here is a brilliant "Trailer" for the upcoming A-Team Film that I found on YouTube.
